Associate of Science Degree in Christian Media Production with an emphasis on website creation, live music production, video production, post-production, social media, billing websites, and development of media teams. Each course includes a course number and description.
First Semester
**CMP 101: Introduction to Christian Media Production**
- **Description:** This course provides an overview of media production in a Christian context. Topics include the history of Christian media, ethical considerations, and the impact of media on ministry.
**CMP 102: Website Creation for Churches**
- **Description:** Learn the fundamentals of website design and development tailored for churches. Topics include HTML, CSS, WordPress, and creating user-friendly, engaging church websites.
**CMP 103: Basics of Live Music Production**
- **Description:** This course covers the basics of live music production, including sound system setup, microphone techniques, mixing, and live sound reinforcement for worship services.
**CMP 104: Video Production I**
- **Description:** Introduction to video production, including pre-production planning, camera operation, lighting, and basic editing. Students will work on creating videos for church announcements and testimonials.
Second Semester
**CMP 201: Advanced Website Development**
- **Description:** This course builds on the basics by focusing on advanced web design techniques, including responsive design, SEO, and integrating multimedia content. Prerequisite: CMP 102.
**CMP 202: Live Music Production II**
- **Description:** A deeper dive into live music production with a focus on digital soundboards, advanced mixing techniques, and troubleshooting live audio issues. Prerequisite: CMP 103.
**CMP 203: Video Production II**
- **Description:** This course focuses on advanced video production techniques, including multi-camera setups, live streaming, and in-depth post-production editing. Prerequisite: CMP 104.
**CMP 204: Social Media for Churches**
- **Description:** Learn how to effectively use social media platforms to engage with the congregation and community. Topics include content creation, scheduling, analytics, and managing multiple platforms.
Third Semester
**CMP 301: Billing and Financial Management for Media Projects**
- **Description:** This course covers the financial aspects of media production, including budgeting, billing, and managing financial resources for church media projects.
**CMP 302: Graphic Design and Flyer Creation**
- **Description:** Introduction to graphic design principles and tools like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Students will create flyers and other promotional materials for church events.
**CMP 303: Media Team Development**
- **Description:** Strategies for developing and managing effective media teams in a church setting. Topics include team building, leadership, training, and volunteer management.
**CMP 304: Post-Production Techniques**
- **Description:** Advanced post-production techniques including color grading, audio post-production, special effects, and finalizing projects for distribution. Prerequisite: CMP 203.
Fourth Semester
**CMP 401: Capstone Project in Christian Media Production**
- **Description:** Students will apply what they have learned to a comprehensive project, such as creating a full media campaign for a church event, including website, video, social media, and print materials.
**CMP 402: Internship in Christian Media Production**
- **Description:** Hands-on experience working with a local church or Christian organization, applying skills in a real-world setting. Supervised by a faculty member and an on-site mentor.
**CMP 403: Ethical Issues in Media Production**
- **Description:** Examination of the ethical challenges in media production, particularly within a Christian context. Topics include copyright, privacy, and the responsible use of media.
**CMP 404: Emerging Technologies in Media Production**
- **Description:** Exploration of new and emerging technologies in media production, such as VR, AR, and AI, and their potential applications in church media.
